Award-Winning Technology for Palm OS 5/Earlier Handhelds Organizes, Links Virtually Unlimited Number of Notes; Tool Supports Editing, HotSync Technology
LOS ALTOS, CA – May 22, 2003 – PhatWare Corporation, a leading provider of software products and professional services for mobile and desktop computers, announced today the debut of HPC Notes for Palm OS, bringing a powerfully enhanced set of note taking and management capabilities to Palm Powered handhelds running Palm OS 3.5 or later, including Palm OS 5.
HPC Notes for Palm OS allows users to edit, link, organize, import, and export a large number of notes on their Palm Powered device, securely and conveniently. The very affordable utility—also suitable for OEM bundling—supports the higher screen resolution found on the latest Palm Powered handhelds; hyperlinks between notes and HotSync synchronization are also incorporated.
"HPC Notes for Palm OS brings virtually all the major features of HPC Notes Professional Edition to users of Palm Powered handhelds," said Stan Miasnikov, president of PhatWare Corporation. "Doctors, lawyers, media professionals, real estate agents, and other people on the go will find HPC Notes for Palm OS to be one productivity application they can’t do without."
Efficient Management Tool
Like PhatWare’s HPC Notes Professional Edition, winner of Pocket PC magazine’s 2001 and 2002 "Best Application" awards in the Notes category, HPC Notes for Palm OS allows users to create notes, then sort them at any time by type, subject, creation, and modification date. Text search, one-click email, and robust security features provide the efficiency and productivity necessary to keep up with busy individuals.
With the linking and synchronization capabilities of HPC Notes for Palm OS, users can easily update and synchronize notes found in multiple databases. The application leverages all the power of HotSync technology, enabling easy import/export of notes in the person's desktop PC.
"The powerful note-linking capability of HPC Notes for Palm OS together with power and ease-of-use of Palm Powered devices delivers uncompromised convenience for our users to stay productive in their daily lives," said Larry Berkin, director of developer marketing of PalmSource, Inc.
HPC Notes for Palm OS also includes a desktop application that offers a variety of additional features, such as customizable GUIs, a spell checker, automatic text formatting, export to HTML and Outlook, and more. Password protection ensures complete privacy for all the user’s notes.
HPC Notes for Palm OS supports virtually all Palm Powered mobile devices including Palm m505, V, VII, Tungsten, Sony, and others. On the Palm Powered device, the software requires about 160K of free storage space for the application, with an additional 100K of free storage space recommended for notes databases.
